What an incredible day it was! The atmosphere, the friendliness, tired but so happy faces! London Marathon 2022 at its best!
We were so fortunate that Ryan dedicated his run to support Home-Start Southwark’s mission. Prior to the marathon Ryan said: "I heard about the charity through my friend Tom at Dulwich running club. (…) I'm very excited to run for Home-Start. My sister works in similar field, and I've seen first-hand the brilliant impact parental support can have on the lives of children. I'll be running another marathon at the start of December so this will be tough!" But on the day, he did amazingly! Finished the race in 3 hours and 10 minutes and raised around £600 in donations! What a great achievement!
And we were so inspired by Ben! Our team and volunteers worked with Ben’s family earlier this year, and not so long after that he decided it’s time to give back to support Home-Start mission by running London Marathon with Home-Start UK and fundraising to support its cause. And he did brilliantly! 4 hours and 46 mins and over £2,500 raised.
